Our Story

Edwardsburg Fire department is located in the center most southern portion of Cass County Michigan
We provide Fire and Rescue services to one municipality and three townships.
Ontwa Township
Milton Township
Jefferson Township
Village of Edwardsburg
The combine population of our coverage area is approximately 9,000 residence covering 47 square
miles.
We are made up of part-paid volunteers, which means we get paid yearly based on the amount of calls,
trainings, and meetings we attend. It also means no one lives at our station 24 hours a day, 7 days a
week, 365 days a year. We all respond to incidents from home or wherever we may be when
dispatched over our fire pagers. We pride ourselves in our dedication to providing the most
professional and trained firefighters to or community.

Assistant Chiefs, 2 Captains, 1 Lieutenant, and 20 Firefighters.”
